Our approach is centred around storytelling.
Rather than constantly stopping or directing you, we allow most of your wedding day to unfold naturally. That gives us the freedom to capture genuine expressions, real interactions and spontaneous moments that reflect how your wedding actually felt.
From preparations in the morning and the anticipation before the ceremony to the speeches, first dance and celebrations afterwards, we are looking for both the big moments and the quieter ones happening around them.
The result is a wedding gallery that feels personal to you rather than a collection of photographs that could belong to anybody.
Natural Doesn't Mean No Guidance
You don't need to know how to pose, and you certainly don't need to spend your wedding day worrying about the camera.
For most of the day, we'll work unobtrusively and let things happen. When it's time for couple portraits or group photographs, we'll give you as much guidance as you need while keeping everything relaxed and natural.
This approach works particularly well for couples who don't normally feel comfortable in front of a camera and want photographs that look like themselves rather than heavily staged poses.
From the Moments You Expect to the Ones You Miss
Of course we'll capture the parts of the day you know you'll want to remember: the ceremony, your first moments as a married couple, your family and friends, the speeches and the celebrations.
But some of our favourite photographs come from the moments you didn't know were happening.
A look across the room. A parent trying not to cry. Friends collapsing into laughter. Children getting up to mischief. A quiet moment together in the middle of a very busy day.

What if we don't feel comfortable in front of the camera?
That's completely normal, and our style is particularly suited to couples who don't enjoy posing.
For most of the day, you won't need to think about the camera at all. When some direction is helpful, we'll keep it simple and relaxed so that the photographs still feel like you.
Do you take group photographs as well as candid photographs?
Yes. Although documentary photography is at the heart of our approach, we understand that family and group photographs are an important part of most weddings.
We can help organise these efficiently so they don't take over your day.
Can you photograph the whole wedding day?
Yes. Coverage can include preparations, the ceremony, reception, speeches, couple photographs, first dance and evening celebrations, depending on the package you choose.
Do you offer a second photographer?
Daryl also works as a second shooter, and additional photography support may be available depending on the wedding and package.
Do you offer wedding content creation as well as photography?
Yes. Visually Captured can also provide wedding content creation, giving you candid video clips and social-media-friendly content alongside your professionally edited wedding photographs.
This can be particularly useful for couples who want content they can view and share quickly after the wedding.
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
Popular dates can be booked well in advance, particularly during peak wedding season, so it is always worth checking availability as soon as you have confirmed your date and venue.
